Step by step
How Morphio works
Morphio converts files entirely inside your browser tab. Here is exactly what happens from the moment you drop a file to the moment you download the result — and once you have read it, you can start converting right on this page.
The four steps
1. Add your file
Drag & drop a file onto the orbit, or click to browse your device. Images, audio, video, documents, archives and ebooks are all supported — you can queue several files at once.
2. Choose the output format
Pick the target format for each file and adjust the options that matter: quality, resolution, bitrate or page range. Sensible defaults are pre-selected, so you can just hit convert.
3. Convert locally
Your browser loads the right WebAssembly engine on demand and does the work on your own machine. There is no queue and no upload — speed depends only on your device.
4. Download the result
Finished files appear in the list with a download button. Grab them one by one or as a zip. Close the tab and everything is gone — nothing is stored anywhere.
What happens under the hood
Files never leave your device
The file bytes are read into browser memory with the File API and handed straight to the converter. No request carries your file to a server.
WebAssembly does the heavy lifting
Audio and video run through ffmpeg compiled to WebAssembly; images use the browser's native decoders and Canvas; documents use pure-JS parsers.
Works offline once loaded
After the engine is cached, conversions keep working with no connection at all — useful on flights or locked-down networks.
Nothing to trust us with
No account, no file logs, no watermarks. You can verify it yourself in your browser's network tab while converting.
Now try it yourself
Drop a file on the orbit below. The conversion runs here, in this tab — nothing is uploaded.
Your Vault is empty
Your first conversion lands here automatically — saved on this device only, never uploaded.
